What has actually been studied

For each compound we supply, this page summarises what the published literature investigated, in which model systems, and — the part almost nobody prints — how strong that evidence really is.

Read this first. Everything below describes published research. It is not a claim about what these compounds do in humans, not a suggestion that you use them, and not guidance of any kind. Several are supported almost entirely by rodent studies from a single research group. We say so where that is the case, because a supplier who cites only the flattering papers is advertising, not informing.

How we grade the evidence

Every compound below carries one of four labels. They describe the literature, not the material — a compound can be 99.5% pure and still sit at the bottom of this scale.

Synthetic pentadecapeptide · sequence derived from a protein found in human gastric juice

The most-studied compound in this catalogue by volume of papers, and the one where the gap between reputation and evidence is widest. Research has examined tissue repair — tendon, ligament, muscle and gut mucosa — and protection against NSAID-induced gastrointestinal lesions, almost entirely in rats and mice.

The great majority of that work originates from a single group in Zagreb led by Predrag Sikirić, published over roughly three decades. Independent replication outside that group is limited, and no completed human clinical trial has been published. Enthusiasm for this compound online substantially outruns what the literature supports.

TB-500

Animal only

Synthetic fragment corresponding to a region of Thymosin Beta-4

Thymosin Beta-4 is a naturally occurring actin-sequestering protein with a genuine research literature in cell migration, angiogenesis and wound repair. TB-500 is a shorter synthetic fragment, and studies of the two are frequently — and incorrectly — treated as interchangeable.

Full-length TB-4 has been through early human trials for corneal and dermal wound healing. The fragment sold as TB-500 has not, and the evidence base attributed to it is largely borrowed from work on the parent protein.

CJC-1295 / MOD GRF (1-29)

Human data

Analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone, GHRH(1-29)

Investigated for its effect on growth hormone and IGF-1 secretion. Human pharmacokinetic work exists — notably a 2006 study in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism examining dose-dependent GH and IGF-1 elevation in healthy adults.

A naming warning that matters when buying. "CJC-1295" properly refers to the version carrying a Drug Affinity Complex, which greatly extends half-life. "MOD GRF (1-29)" is the modified peptide without it. The two are routinely sold under each other's names across this industry. Check the mass on the certificate, not the label on the site.

Pentapeptide · selective growth hormone secretagogue receptor agonist

Developed at Novo Nordisk and characterised in the late 1990s as a selective GH secretagogue — releasing growth hormone with markedly less effect on cortisol and prolactin than earlier compounds in its class, which is why it appears so often in the literature as a research tool.

It progressed to human clinical trials for post-operative ileus. Those trials did not meet their endpoints and development was discontinued — a fact worth knowing, since the compound is frequently marketed as though its clinical history were a success rather than a stopped programme.

Sermorelin

Clinical

GHRH(1-29) · the shortest fully active fragment of growth hormone releasing hormone

The strongest regulatory history in this catalogue. Sermorelin was approved as a prescription medicine in the United States under the name Geref and used in assessing growth hormone deficiency in children. It was withdrawn from that market in 2008 for commercial rather than safety reasons.

Because it went through formal approval, its pharmacology, dosing behaviour and adverse-event profile are documented to a standard nothing else on this page approaches.

GHK-Cu

Human data

Copper-binding tripeptide · glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, naturally present in human plasma

Unusual here in being both naturally occurring and commercially established. GHK was identified in human plasma in the 1970s; its concentration declines substantially with age. Research has examined copper transport, collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, and dermal wound repair, with much of the foundational work by Loren Pickart.

It is widely used as a cosmetic ingredient in topical formulations, which means human skin-level data exists in a way it does not for most peptides sold as research chemicals.

Thymosin Alpha-1

28-amino-acid peptide · immunomodulator, naturally produced by the thymus

An approved medicine in a number of countries, marketed as thymalfasin, with a clinical literature spanning chronic hepatitis B and C, immune reconstitution and adjunct use in sepsis. It has been the subject of randomised controlled trials — genuinely rare in this catalogue.

Because it is a licensed medicine in several jurisdictions, its regulatory position is more complex than the rest of this list, and it is supplied here strictly as a research reference material.

Epitalon

Synthetic tetrapeptide · Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly

Included with an explicit warning. Epitalon originates from work on pineal peptide preparations by Vladimir Khavinson's group in St Petersburg, examining telomerase activity and lifespan in cell culture and rodents.

The evidence is weak. Studies are small, overwhelmingly from one group, largely published in journals with limited international reach, and not independently replicated at any scale. The extraordinary longevity claims made for this compound online are not supported by anything we would call reliable data. We supply it because it is a legitimate research material and researchers ask for it — not because we think the case for it is made.

Handling and storage

Applies to every lyophilised peptide in the catalogue. Poor handling degrades good material, and a certificate describes the vial as it left analysis, not as it will be after a fortnight on a windowsill.

Two things worth knowing before you buy anywhere

Anti-doping

Most compounds here are on the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List, several under S0 — prohibited at all times, including out of competition. If you are a tested athlete, that applies regardless of what a supplier's website calls the product. We mark WADA status on every compound above rather than leaving you to find out.

What "research use only" actually means

It is not a formality or a wink. These materials are not authorised medicines in the United Kingdom, have not been assessed for human safety by the MHRA, and are supplied for laboratory research. A supplier who marks products "research use only" while advising you on doses is telling you plainly that they will say whatever is convenient. We do not answer those questions.
